Chris has an acute knowledge of managing resources to ensure accurate installation of irrigation projects on time and to a high standard. Joining Irrigation Services in 2002, Chris has vast experience of installing and maintaining irrigation schemes in the Lower North Island having been the project manager on Irrigation Services major jobs for the last decade.
John Jones is the water consenting and compliance expert for Irrigation Services. Engineering design requirements are also covered by John who joined the company in 2001. John has 25 years experience in the irrigation engineering and welldrilling industries, and has subsequently used his skills to design headworks for Irrigation Services. He brings a wealth of pumping and welldrilling knowledge. Before joining Irrigation Services Ltd John was an integral part of his family’s welldrilling business, John Hill Welldriller.
Dennis joined Irrigation Services in 2017 relocating from Danniverke where he spent 14 years as the Engineering Manager of a large meat processing plant. With a strong background in plant maintenance and fabrication Dennis' skills are a great asset to the team. As a keen gardener Dennis appreciates the importance of an efficient and effective irrigation system.
Born and raised on a Wairarapa farm, Ben is passionate about the region. He has worked for Irrigation Services since 2005, during which time he had a stint away working in Western Australia on minefield irrigation projects. Ben has moved back to Wairarapa to raise his young family. We are thrilled to have Ben managing the Masterton office, as he is a valued team member who demonstrates initiative and practical skill. He has been involved with all facets of irrigation installation, completed water engineering courses and is support by the Hawkes Bay design team.
Colin’s primary role with Irrigation Services since 2008 has been fabrication of headworks. He has been involved with numerous installations in Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa and is accredited by Irrigation New Zealand to undertake verification of watermeters on behalf of Irrigation Services. Colin is based in the Wairarapa office and has been the on site health and safety representative for major irrigation installing projects, such as the Himatangi Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Ben Donaldson is the general manager of Irrigation Services (Southern) Ltd. His primary roles are design and sales at the Southern branch. Born and bred in Central Otago, Ben’s family has been farming for five generations. Ben has a Bachelor of Commerce and Management, Lincoln University, a Certificate in FDE System Design and Management, along with experience in intensive cropping and vegetable farm work. Fifteen years of irrigation experience combined with his local knowledge makes him a valuable part of the team.

With previous experience in the irrigation industry in Alexandra, and as a departmental manager at Central Otago District Council and Fulton Hogan, Geoff brings considerable experience managing civil and commercial projects.
Growing up in the deep south Geoff moved to Dunedin in the early nineties to train in Amenity Horticulture and Turf management. He has spent the last 25 years since completing his training, working throughout Southland and Otago and surrounds involved in many different capital and maintenance projects.
Sarah fulfills a vital communication role between the design and installation teams. She manages logistics of the irrigation materials, from pricing and ordering through to delivery to site. Coming from a dairy farming background in the Wairarapa, she completed a Bachelor of Horticulture at Massey University, and went on to work in agribusiness in New Zealand and Australia.
After a stint as the Napier City Court registar, Jill has worked in agribusiness in Hawke's Bay for most of her career. She has been a vital part of the team since the inception of Irrigation Services in 1996.
Kylie is a graduate of the University of Otago and Monash University in Melbourne, she holds a graduate certificate in Business. She had a successful career in HR, mainly in Australia before joining Irrigation Services.
